The award ceremony was held at the Lotte Hotel in\u00a0Sogong-dong, Seoul on May 9 and a prize of 100 million won was given to each winner.<\/p>\n<p>The Samyang Group&#8217;s web page notes the Prizes are presented to individuals who have made exemplary contributions in basic sciences, applied sciences and humanities &amp; social sciences categories.\u00a0\u00a0Professor Hyung Mok Lee leads Korean Gravitational Wave Group (KGWG) which is a member of the\u00a0LIGO Scientific Collaboration.
